Sonos Move
Another large option is the Move, which is six times larger than the slightly newer and incredibly portable Sonos Roam. Promotional images can be misleading, so keep that in mind.However, just like the Roam, the Move has Bluetooth and wi-fi connectivity, allowing you to stream music to it wirelessly or over Bluetooth from a phone or tablet, or the internet using a service like Spotify or Tidal, just like the rest of the Sonos speaker lineup. It can function as a Sonos multi-room system component thanks to WiFi, and since it’s wireless, you can take it outside. Overall, there are many alternatives available, and the sound quality is commensurate with the prestigious Sonos brand.
JBL X
A versatile, gifted wireless speaker, the JBL Xtreme 3 is equally at home lounging at home as it is being the life and soul of a party. You’d be forgiven for supposing at first appearance that it could be more concerned with the amount of bass it’s producing than with musical quality because it is, in fact, tough and IP67 dust- and waterproof certified. However, we want to reassure you that the JBL Xtreme 3 performs thoughtfully and carefully, from the lowest lows to the highest highs.The healthy amount of low-end power available should satisfy bassheads, but there is also quality. The JBL Xtreme 3 received five stars overall throughout our thorough in-house testing.
JBL Charge 5
The JBL Charge 5 is now a What Hi-Fi? 2021 Award-winner in addition to being even more durable and sonically superior to the four Charges that came before it. The Charge 5 improves on the IPX7 classification of its predecessor by being completely dustproof in addition to being able to withstand being submerged in water up to a depth of 1.5 meters.
