And if you are happy to trade in charging speed for extra durability, the 2,500mAh Duracell batteries are excellent, reliable, and still charged in 90 minutes with a 45-minute charger. Varta does not enjoy the same standard of product recognition as Duracell and Energizer but this 1,900mAh battery works best when used with devices that do not require a lot of juice. You don’t really get the volume you make with Eneloops or Energizers, but Vartas have one advantage they don’t have. The 1,900mAh AA batteries can be recharged up to 2,100 times, while maintaining 60% of its charge after the last five years. 550mAh batteries go even further, with up to 3,400 charging cycles.Too bad these batteries are rarely available, while a package of four AAs is relatively expensive – it is worth buying at the best price.
